Swap Project – Kano State Outreach

Swap Project – Kano State Outreach

We visited Sharada Ja’en community, Kano State with the Swap Project! We identified the community as an area of high vulnerability with regards to less privileged and out of school children. The community had suffered great economic setbacks due to the impact of COVID-19.

In line with the goals and objectives of the Swap Project, we restored 10 out of school children in the community back to school, paid their fees and provided them with all relevant school materials. 74 less privileged other children in A.A Sadiq Nursery and Primary school were provided with also access to school materials.

Through the Swap Project, we have impacted 3 communities and 2 schools and Lagos and Kano States and reached out to 371 children with access to education, school materials, face masks, hand sanitizers and more.

Access to quality education is part of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. It is one of the most important tools to break the cycle of poverty, prevent the exploitation of the most vulnerable and build a progressive society. It is our collective duty to take responsibility and save our future and that of the next generation.
