About Back to school Africa initiative -

Back to School Africa Initiative is a youth-led and volunteers-based non-profit organization that is committed to building Africa’s future by providing education to children and youths in vulnerable communities in Nigeria, improving education and human capital development policies, and promoting reform based leadership to eliminate social-economic inequalities and achieve inclusive and equitable economic growth. This is achieved through resource mobilization and collaboration with relevant partners and MDAs in line with the United Nations Global Goals. The organization which was founded in January 2018 and registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission in 2019 (CAC/IT/NO 124 607) is governed by a functional board and replete with volunteers of high competence. Since its formations, Back to School Africa Initiative has provided education, care, mentorship and general support to over 1000 under privilege and out of school children across several undeserving communities in Nigeria. The organisation is also engages in the provision of general welfare support to less privilege households across Nigeria.

VISION & MISSION

Our vision is to transform society by empowering disadvantaged children in under served communities and  remote communities with access to education and vocational skills to enable them to realize their potentials and enhance their chances at a better life

Our mission is to harness resources towards bridging the enrollment gap in schools between orphans/vulnerable and other children, through the provision of educational scholarships and other psycho-social support

Founded in 2018 and we already have 857 beneficiaries in 14 communities to date. Gained 152 volunteers & members and secured local and international partners

Back to School Africa Initiative emerged as a finalists for the UNITE2030 SDGs Conference in New York.

Founder, Mr. Chukwuma Amadi was nominated for the Active Citizenship in Education Awards in Nigeria

The Ignite Africa Campaign qualified for the Global Giving Accelerator Program in Washington DC and MiT Solve Accelerator program in Massachusetts, USA.
